STGILAT

Villa Stgilat is Enric Ruiz Geli's new interpretation of a Catalan vault built overlooking the Costa Brava. Using the computing power and technological developments of the 21st century he created a home that feels to multiply the good vibes. The house connects with nature through ample windows and gives a feeling of being sheltered at the same time. Furniture is reduced to the basic needs of sleeping, eating and entertaining friends.

The parametric design blends nicely into the landscape. At the same time he reduced the ecological footprint placing the house on pilars leaving the earth underneath untouched.

He combined the latest tecnological developments in materials including specially designed sound absorbing tiles together with the traditional craftsmanship of ceramic maker Toni Cumella.

Enric Ruiz Geli successfully used the heritage of Catalan architecture and developed it to a next level.
